Awards, Scholarships and Free Studentships

The following awards, scholarships, and free studentship are available at AUB.

1. Best Students Award.


2. Awards for Dean's List student

3. Free studentship for students obtaining GPA of 4 in each semester.


4. Free studentship for Merit List (first 10) students at the HSC level.


5. Free studentship for poor and meritorious students (up to 5% of students).


6. Free studentship for high achievers in the Co-Curricular activities.

a. Best Studentship Award:

Best Studentship Award be given to the student having highest CGPA in the convocation ceremony. The Best Studentship Award will be given the form of cash taka 10,000/- (ten thousand) only, a medal along with a certificate.

b. Awards for Dean's List students:

The top three students of each programme (securing not less than 3.50 GPA) will be considered for Dean's List Award and they will be given a certificate, a medal and cash Tk. 5,0OO/- (five thousand) only each (to be adjusted from free-studentship) subject to the condition that it should not exceed.

c. Free studentship for students obtaining GPA of 4 in each semester:

The students securing GPA 4.00 out of 4.00 in the concerned semester will be given half-free studentship for the following semester.

d. Free studentship for Merit List (first 10) students at the HSC level:

Full-free studentship will be given to the students securing 1-10 positions in the H.S.C. Examination.

e. Free studentship for poor and meritorious students:

Tuition waiver will be granted to the poor but meritorious students case by case. In addition to this, 25% tuition fees waiver will be considered in the case of two or more brothers/sisters studying at AUB (to be applicable only in the case of one candidate).

f. Free studentship for high achievers in the Co-Curricular activities:

Tuition fee waiver will be considered for high achievers in co-curricular activities, to be determined case by case.
