The objective of the Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA) program is to equip the students with sound foundation in business
discipline and develop their academic knowledge and skill to pursue a career in business and
management. The curriculum of the BBA program has been so designed with the cooperation of
eminent and experienced academicians in the relevant field at home and abroad that after
completion of the program the students will be able to become efficient administrators and
managers in different areas.
The entry requirement for BBA program is
a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), A-level, Alim or any
other equivalent level of education.
Admission into the BBA program is on
a competitive basis. Candidates are selected for admission
on the basis of past academic records and written test.
The applicants may also be required to face a viva examination for
admission.
A student will have to complete 132 credit hours
for a BBA degree out of which 75 credit hours consist of compulsory courses for all
concentration areas, 15 credit hours from elective courses, 18 credit hours from major
courses in each of the areas of Accounting, Finance, Banking and Insurance, Marketing,
Management and MIS, while the remaining 24 credit hours are from a general
inter-disciplinary body of knowledge. This general body of knowledge along with the major
area of concentration will prepare a student to adjust to the reality of the contemporary
world facing multi-dimensional problems and issues. Some courses are meant for moral uplift.
A student must get a 'C' grade to pass an individual course.
Internship is a practical training meant for
BBA. This gives the BBA students an exposure to the real world to make them effective
managers in the corporate world. The duration of internship is a maximum period of 3 months.
Students are assigned grades based on reports prepared by the students and performance
reports about the students by the organizations where they were attached. Special projects
or research works of high standards may be substituted for an internship, if so authorized
by the relevant authority.
The maximum number of credit hours that a
student must take per semester is 12 and the maximum is
18. This may be relaxed only with special permission of
the appropriate authority at AUB.

Requirements: |
Proficiency in English is essential to pursue
the BBA program. Those who are admitted to BBA program will be required to submit documents
about their level of proficiency in English. This requirement may be satisfied by a TOEFL
score of at least 550 or equivalent in examinations such as ELTS or IELTS. For those
students who cannot satisfy the above requirements, the University will organize an
Intensive English Language Course in the first semester of their studies. This course offers
15 hours of instruction per week. Students will not receive credit for this course, but they
shall have to pass this course with at least a 'C' grade before they are allowed to join the
main BBA program. Students failing to achieve a 'C' grade in the first attempt will get only
one more chance to improve their grades.
The fee structure for the BBA (on campus) is as
follows : FEES
Payable during admission Tk. 15,500/-
Payable in each subsequent Semester Tk. 14,000/-
Total Cost for the entire program Tk.1,69,500/-
Note : If any student intends to repeat or retake a course, or intends to take any
course beyond the prescribed courses in the respective semester, he/she is required to pay
at the rate of Tk. 3000/- for each course of three credit hours. Fees once paid are not
refundable.

time.
In general, the university reserves the right to change the fees for any batch
of students, new or old, from time to time without prior notice.
