The objective of the BEd program is
to provide students with sound knowledge, skills and modem
techniques & methods in teaching and training.
The entry requirement for the Bachelor
of Education (BEd) program is at least a Bachelor's degree.
Admission into the BEd program is on a competitive
basis. Candidates are selected for admission on the basis
of past academic records, job experience, written tests,
and/or a viva examination.
A student of BEd program will have to complete
45 credit hours (15 courses) as distributed below:
- Core Courses: 24 credit hours,
- School Teaching subject: 9 credit hours,
and
- Practice Teaching and
others: 12 credit hours
The minimum number of credit hours that a
student must take per semester is 12 and the maximum is
15. This may be relaxed only with special permission of
the appropriate authority at AUB. This requirement is relaxed
in the Distance mode.
