A student with a B.A.(Hons.) degree in Bengali or Master's (Preliminary) in Bengali will have to complete 36 credit hours while a student with a B.A.(Pass) with Bengali will have to complete 54 credit hours and a student with a B.A.(Pass) without Bengali or Honors in any other discipline will have to complete 60 credit hours to complete the M.A. in Bengali degree.

A student must get at least a 'C' grade to pass an individual course and maintain a minimum GPA 2.00
