The Objective of the B.A. Honors in English Program is to provide students with sound knowledge of English language and literature and develop their academic knowledge and skill in the field of arts and letter.
Besides the major area of concentration, there will be some courses from a general interdisciplinary body of knowledge that will prepare the students to adjust to the reality of the contemporary world facing multidimensional issues. With sound knowledge of English and American literature and language, students will be able to find the roads to success open to them.
The Department of English is enriched with highly experienced and qualified faculty members having degrees from home and abroad. At present the Department is manned by all full time faculty members including full Professors and Associate Professors.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for the B.A Honors in English Program are Higher Secondary Certificate or any other equivalent level of education with 4 points. Admission into the Honors course in on a competitive basis. Candidates are selected for admission on the basis of past academic records, written tests. Viva etc.
